Sony’s blockbuster Uncharted will hit Netflix in July, it’s been confirmed.
Released in theaters on February 11 of this year, the film had a fruitful run in theaters with over $400 million in box office receipts. And, following a digital download and DVD release last month, its streaming arc has been confirmed.
Uncharted is based on the immensely popular video game series by Naughty Dog and follows treasure hunter Nathan “Nate” Drake as he travels around the world to uncover various historical mysteries.
The film sees Drake, who is played by Spider-Man star Tom Holland, teaming up with Mark Wahlberg’s Victor “Sully” Sullivan. Sullivan, an older explorer and mentor to Drake, takes the young man on an adventure where the duo find themselves up against a rich and ruthless treasure hunter and his mercenaries as they pursue a lost fortune.
As Netflix holds the distribution rights to Sony Pictures’ list of movies for the next five years, this is where Uncharted will make its July 15 debut. it changes…
