ASUS plans to manufacture the Zenfone 3 Max in India

The Taiwanese gamer today announced his plans to manufacture the Zenfone 3 Max in India. To meet the expected demand for the smartphone, the company will manufacture the Zenfone 3 Max at its facilities in Daman (Union Territory of Daman & Diu). Production of Zenfone 3 Max will start from December 2016.

This will be the third smartphone to be manufactured locally by ASUS after the start of production of the Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Go last year.

Commenting on the announcement, Peter Chang, Regional Head – South Asia and Country Manager for ASUS India, said: “In addition to our headquarters in Taiwan, India is among the most important markets for us and we are constantly looking to strengthen our presence and operations in the country.”

“We are excited to announce yet another smartphone that will be manufactured locally, in addition to the Zenfone 2 Laser and Zenfone Go. India is on its way to becoming the world’s leading mobile phone manufacturer and we are proud to contribute to such a dynamic economy,” he adds.
